Tomodachi Life: Villager and Isabelle Animal Crossing QR Codes

Villager and Isabelle Tomodachi Life Animal Crossing

Here are the QR codes for my Tomodachi Life Mii recreations of Isabelle and Villager from Animal Crossing.

I based my Villager on the pink haired version of Villager that appears in Super Smash Bros for 3DS/Wii U (which is the only female version that doesn’t look awful. There is also only one decent male version. Why did they make so many horrible-looking Villagers in Animal Crossing?).

And of course I had to make everyone’s favorite doggy, Isabelle. Look how adorable!

I’m sorry if I didn’t make my Villager psychotic enough!

Who else do you want to see in Tomodachi Life?

Tomodachi Life: “Mrs.” Garrison QR Code

Mrs. Janet Garrison

Analytics suggests that everyone wants more Tomodachi Life character QR codes, so here’s one more! I promised Mrs. Garrison back when I posted my Mr. Hankey Tomodachi Life QR code, and here she is! Isn’t she beautiful? Her catch phrase is “I’m a woman.”

That’s all I’m going to say about this particular character, least I end up with keywords that I don’t necessarily want associated with my website leading to this page.

What other South Park characters would you like to see for Tomodachi Life?

I’ll post Isabelle and Villager from Animal Crossing next!

Busy Bee

Combee - Pokemon

This semester has been super busy so far. Between my four classes, planning my wedding, and keeping Dinosauring.com updated, I haven’t had time to blog here.

For Advanced Game Programming, I have to make a game and sell at least five copies by the end of the semester. I chose to make a 2D side-scrolling beat ’em up game. I haven’t thought of a name for the game yet, but you play as a flower who has to save a garden from evil weeds (like dandelions!) who are trying to take over. It will be for PC, and I’m using XNA. I’ll post more details about it here later with a link to purchase. It will likely be between $0.99-$1.99.

I’m also working on a game for Serious Games and Simulations to help students study math. I haven’t gotten much done for that game yet since the first project I was going to be working on for this class fell through. I originally was going to do a different educational game that one of the instructors at the college wanted, but that project had to be cancelled do to administrative decisions that were made regarding the department that I was working with. But I was able to come up with another neat idea for my project anyway.

I’m also learning Unreal Engine 4 in 3D Game Level Design, and Xcode and Android Studio in the Mobile Game Apps class.

As I expected, I’m the only student in Advanced Game Programming, Serious Games and Simulations, and 3D Game Level Design this semester. It is what it is, I guess. It might actually be a blessing in disguise, however. Being the only student means I can make my game projects on my own without worrying about any teammates. I’ve always disliked group work, as I either end up having to do the whole thing by myself anyway while still having to give credit to the other group members, or they completely ignore most of my ideas.

Since I’m working on my game on my own, it makes things easier from a business standpoint (no one to argue with over profits and ownership and such). My beat ’em up game will be the starting point for my business, Nýbiru Studio. I’m planning on having the website for my business up and running by the end of the semester where I can advertise and showcase this games and games I create in the future.

I’m going to be graduating from LCCC this spring. I’m thinking about finishing my bachelor’s degree online now, so that I can keep working and won’t have to move to finish school. There’s an online program I’m looking into right now.

Aside from working on my school projects, I’ve also been busy planning my wedding. We have our date and venue set. I got my dress already, and it’s pink! I got it from WeddingDressFantasy on Etsy, and it’s amazing! It was a sample sale, so I got a good deal and it shipped super fast. Plus it fits well and I don’t think I’ll need any alterations, other than to add a bustle, which I think I can do myself. I’m not going to post any pictures yet, because it’s supposed to be a surprise! There are still a few more details we need to get sorted out. I’m also going to refrain from posting too many details about the date and location until after the fact, since any creeper on the internet could potentially be reading this, but it’s going to be at a super awesome venue!

That’s about it for now.

I Got Engaged!

Hey everyone who hasn’t already heard! Hans and I got engaged on Christmas day! This is the kind of thing that’s important to announce on your personal blog, right?

He proposed by putting the ring in a big Pokéball that he took off the Christmas tree and gave it to me as my last Christmas gift!

My ring has a heart-shaped pink sapphire in the center (I may or may not have shown him this ring a couple months ago…). It’s so beautiful! I love it so much!

Jen's Engagement Ring

I think I’m going to have a pink wedding dress too. As with diamond rings, white wedding dresses all kind of look the same to me, and I want something special for my special day. I’m debating trying to make my own dress. I haven’t looked around too terribly much yet, but so far I haven’t seen any dresses that really appeal to me. If I go that route, I might try making a couple regular casual dresses first to practice, since the only clothes I’ve made myself have been cosplay costumes.

We’re planning on getting married this summer sometime, possibly in July. I’m trying to convince him that Legoland is a good place for a honeymoon.

Dinosauring Christmas

Dinosauring Stego Claus

Today is marks the third week of my web comic, Dinosauring. Since today is also Christmas Eve, I did a special 6 panel parody of “‘Twas the Night Before Christmas.”

This strip, ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas, features the three Stegosauruses, Sir Stegington, Gweneira, and Mary Sue, along with a special appearance by Stego Claus.

I hope to make more special holiday comics in the future (including New Years next week!). My interneting goal for the next year (and beyond) is to post a new Dinosauring comic every week, as well as posting here on my blog more often (even if my boyfriend is the only one reading it).

(This post is being filed under “Cool Story Bro.”)

Our Nerdy Christmas Trees

As is tradition, we have a really nerdy Christmas tree this year. Actually, two of them. Our main Christmas tree is decorated with an assortment of dorky things, mostly stuffed animals. I also have a smaller pink Christmas tree that I decorated with Pokemon this year.

This tradition started two Christmases ago. It was the first year that my boyfriend and I lived together, and we didn’t have any actual Christmas ornaments (bought two that year, two snowmen) and filled in the rest of the tree with our action figures tied to string. Then last year, we didn’t have room for the big tree, so I got a small pink one instead and decorated it with pink action figures and small pink plushies.

This year, we have plenty of room again, so out came both trees. We used mostly stuffed animals this time because we were too lazy to put strings on our action figures this year.

Here’s our main tree. I added a winking Pikachu, a smaller Sylveon, and three normal ornaments (including a stegosaurus) since I took the pictures.

And here’s my Pokemon tree:

Maybe next year we’ll have three or four trees!

If you’re curious here are our trees from 2012 and 2013. I didn’t think to post them on my blog before:

Tomodachi Life: Krampus QR Code

Krampus Mii Tomodachi Life

If you’ve never heard of the Krampus, be prepared to add this delightful character to your family’s holiday traditions! In Germanic folklore, Krampus is St. Nicholas’s devilish companion. Whereas good old St. Nick brings gifts to the good little boys and girls, Krampus takes care of the naughty children. While Santa Claus is happy with offerings of milk and cookies, Krampus would prefer to be offered schnapps.

I thought he would be a great addition to my Tomodachi Life Island to go along with Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus. I needed more crazy looking characters.

Even Krampus is getting into the Christmas spirit with his festive holiday interior!

I think Krampus should become a more popular Christmas character in the United States, right along side Santa Claus. What do you think?

Have you been nice this year? Or will Krampus have to visit your house?

Tomodachi Life: Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus QR Codes

Merry Christmas! I made Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus Mii characters for Tomodachi Life. They both live in festive holiday interiors with Christmas trees year-round (unless you decide to change their interiors).

I made the original QR codes with them both wearing matching “ugly holiday sweaters” before I found the Santa Suit outfit in the “seasonal” section of the clothing store (yay for scheduled posting!), so I remade the codes with the Santa Suit outfits, but I’ll keep the ugly holiday sweater codes here too, just in case anyone prefers that outfit.

Have them both move in and see if you can get them to start dating, get married, and make cute little gray-haired baby Miis!

Check back tomorrow if you would like Krampus to move into your apartment building. He’s great for making sure your child Miis stay in line!

Tomodachi Life: Mr. Hankey QR Code

MrHankeyTomodachiLife

Howdy Ho! I made Mr. Hankey the Christmas Poo from South Park for Tomodachi Life to help you get into the Christmas Spirit! If you eat fiber on Christmas Eve, he might come to your town… errr… island.

He’s wearing a festive Santa Claus hat from the Santa Suit outfit to help you get into the holiday spirit! He’s also wearing a brown bath robe because… well…

Check back for more festive Tomodachi Life miis between now and Christmas. I also have Santa Claus, Mrs. Claus and a delightfully disturbing Krampus living on my island.

“Mrs.” Garrison from South Park also lives on my island (and is currently dating my brother’s Mii. LMAO!). If anyone is interested, I might share her later so she can live on your island too!

Super Smash Bros and Tomodachi Life: Iron Man QR Code

Iron Man Smash Bros

I originally made this Iron Man Mii to use as a Smash Bros Mii Fighter, but I decided to import him into Tomodachi Life as well. The QR code should work in both Tomodachi Life and Mii Maker, so you can use him in Super Smash Bros and any other game that lets you import miis.

I made him look distinguished in my game. I thought this type of outfit and interior suited him well. I used the dark red hair dye to make his helmet armor a little bit brighter than the default red hair that is available in Mii Maker.

Iron Man Tomodachi Life QR Code

I think he looks really cool in Smash Bros. Set him as a gunner and use the High-Tech Armor to make him look like this:

Iron Man Smash Bros

Unfortunately, you can’t make his “hair” any brighter outside of Tomodachi Life, but I still like how he turned out with the dark red helmet.

Any of the characters that I share for Tomodachi Life should work in Mii Maker as well, but some of them don’t look as cool without the extra items (clothes, hats, hair dye) that can be added in the game.
